I am an Israeli by choice – meaning I was born in the U.K. but chose to live in Israel. I have strong opinions on most subjects, in a world where such opinions are no longer accepted as “politically correct”.
It would be fair to categorise my views as somewhat right of centre and strongly Nationalistic – which is unusual in Israel, coming as they do from an admitted strongly anti-religious atheist! I am a firm believer in freedom of the individual with the absolute bare minimum of Government intervention in almost anything!
I support Gay Rights and equality for women – except that the sexual harassment laws here regarding women are the most draconian in the world and I think the pendulum has swung too far the other way.
I support full freedom of expression and do not accept that words automatically lead to actions- no matter how articulately expressed!
My positions will be obvious from just reading my blog!

would like to follow you on twitter… liked your responses to comments left on AJE – language used as weapon article.
OK -you’re welcome. I comment frequently on the Jerusalem post website and also on Haaretz English website.
And there’s always my blog, of course.
Best wishes from

Don’t know if you got my message over that meebo thing in the corner. I left you my email.
Hi Justin.
I don’t think this meebo thing is not working properly, I think I’ll scrap it.
I note that we agree on a number of things. Anything I can do for you?
Anyway good luck in this never ending uphill battle and G’mar Hatima Tova ( from an Athiest Jew)

Miller’s book has been torn apart by scholars. This is authoritative.
This is in connection to what, exactly?
Indian Hindus support Jews…How can a wahabi fanatic or inquisition promoters ever understand the depths judaism or christianity or Hinduism or Buddhism

I see you’ve managed to get yourself involved with bigots. It’s too bad, as it always seems to be the end result of atheism.
I’m not sure how you define “involved”. I am not responsible for what people post to my site.
It seems to me that bigotry is usually in the eye of the beholder. To the extent that it involves sterotypes, I often sense that there are grains of truth in all prejudice.
In general, I can live with it as long as it is confined to words and not actions.
There is legitimate criticism of religion, and there is outright bigotry. slrman is a bigot. After I praised atheism for being about rational thought and logic, he said, “Like all theists, you avoid facts and rational thinking because it is fatal to your religion.” He made this ignorant judgement with no knowledge of me at all, or what I believe. That is bigotry, and I’m sorry that you’ve managed to attract such people.
It’s no different than with Israel. There is legitimate criticism of Israel, then there is outright anti-Semitism.
